I Feel Like Preaching!

I will like to start this special sermon with a song. Oh yes, that’s what Pastors and General Overseers do in most cases. They try to wake you up either physically or spiritually so that you can sync properly into the sermon they intend to give.

I am quite mindful of the mood of the Nigerian nation at this very moment. I know many of my people (my congregation for the purpose of this post) are not in the best of moods right now. They are either furious with the Boko Haram, or cursing the government because of the new fuel price increase which has turned out to be a bitter New Year gift.

Many are sad; many are wary. Many are down; many are angry. Many are wondering; many are fuming. A quick look at Facebook Walls of my people confirms their present state of mind.

So, how does one preach to this set of people successfully? The way out is to wake them up first. You wake them up with a spirit-lifting song. For this reason, my brothers and sisters in the Lord, I want to wake you up first. I want you to join me in singing this song:

My God is a good God…yes, He is (echo)

He lifts me up (echo)

He turns me around (echo)

He plants my feet (echo)

Upon the solid rock (echo)

I feel like dancing (echo)

I feel like dancing (echo)

My God is a good God…Yes, He is.

Praise ye the Lord! Can somebody please shout for Jeeeeesus!

Louder! Louder! Louder!

Today, I want to preach to you about miracles. How many of you believe in miracles?

I believe in miracles and I’m glad you do too. You see, this country called Nigeria will be better one day. Please do not lose hope. Trust Him who is the maker of heaven and earth. He made the leaders and the led. And everything He made is good.

It doesn’t matter if your leaders are misbehaving. It doesn’t matter if they want you to become hopeless about your country. It doesn’t matter if some untouchable cabals somewhere in the country are making life so difficult for the people. It doesn’t matter if some people think you can never survive. Just trust the true King of Kings; the maker of all things. You will succeed!

I repeat: You will succeeeeeed!

Brethren, do not lose hope. This country is yours, and there is nowhere like home. The miracles of this country will soon arrive. Our country will one day be free. It will be free from constant darkness. It will be free from bombs and armed robbers. It will be free from cabals and vagabonds. You shall eat the fruits of the land. Can I hear somebody shout “Amen!”

You must develop a positive mind to record any success in whatever line you have chosen for yourself. There is no need worrying yourself too much about whatever is happening around you. Act where you need to act; hope where you need to hope; and pray when you need to pray. He that is in heaven will never let you down. Your miracle will come in Jesus Name.

I say your miracle will cooooome!

Now, follow me to the book of Kings; the second book of Kings, chapter 13. Are you there? 2 Kings 13.

If you are there, let’s read verses 20 and 21:

  • 20. “Then Elisha died, and they buried him. And the raiding bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year.
  • 21   “So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.”

 Let somebody shout a very big Halleluiah!

As you can see from this bible passage, Elisha was dead, and he had been buried quite right. But his spirit was not dead! When the other dead man’s body touched Elisha’s bones, the bible says, “he revived and stood on his feet!”

Praise ye the Lord!

That was a great miracle! Ooooooh, I say once again that a miracle will happen in your life.

Let’s draw a simple lesson from this short story. One, that dead man who was being buried did not know he would ever revive. But the raiders helped him in a way! Those raiders are like the Boko Haram and all other forces tormenting everyone in our land today. They pushed the dead man to a place of his glory. They “chased” him to his point of revival.

Holy Spirit! I say you will revive! I can’t hear you say “Amen!”

Two, did you notice how the man revived? The bible tells us that when he was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.”

Eeeeeeeh! I feel like preaching! What a miracle!

Today, I decree, the enemies will put you down to your place of glory. It doesn’t matter if your enemy is the government. It doesn’t matter if your enemy is your family. It doesn’t even matter if you are your own enemy; your bones will touch your miracle.  Every dead part of your body and spirit will stand up. Your business will revive and survive. Your marital home will revive. Your career will revive. You will be on your feet and will never fall. You will arise and walk…in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Before I close this short sermon, let me give you a very simple wisdom I received from a friend recently. Assuming ten people are lined up and they are all required to face south. Assume, again, that you happen to be the tenth person on that line. Clearly, that means you are the last person. But what happens in the event of a sudden change? What happens if there is a sudden command that everyone should face north? Oh my, God! That’s a change. That’s a complete turnaround. You immediately become number one on the line, and the previous number one now becomes number ten!

Yeeeeees! There will be a sudden change in your life and you will be number one. You will no longer be number ten. You will lead and reign!

I can’t hear your thunderous “Amen!”

Now let us pray.

Shall we all bow our heads, please. Stretch your hands forward as I decree into your life:

  • Today, I pray, when the world is complaining, you will be smiling;
  • God will make a way for you and nothing will ever stop you;
  • Every efforts of the enemies concerning you shall fail;
  • You will receive divine support from God for breakthrough;
  • You will remember this year for good things for the rest of your life;
  • You will not struggle to be noticed for favour, but favour will bring you to limelight;
  • Anyone and everyone that wants to stand as a hindrance to your breakthrough shall fall down and die yakata;
  • You will be noticed as the most favoured of God this year;
  • You will laugh last… I say you will laugh last;
  • Finally, it will be well with all that concerns you in Jesus Name!!!

Praise the Looooooord!

Praise the living Jesus!
